Day 5 — Best Book

Day 5 -- Best Book of 2017. I haven't quite finished it yet, but Robin Wall Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass is the clear winner. When you look at the tag #robinwallkimmerer, there are a lot of posts gushing about the beauty of this book! It's written as creative nonfiction, not a book of rules, but it feels like a guide to appreciating the natural world. I love, love, love it.
p.s. -- We had potato soup with potatoes and carrots we grew, with poached eggs on the side. These came from our chickens, but we're taking care of some friends' chickens right now and have been instructed to keep the eggs for ourselves, so I'm looking forward to have more eggs to go around!
