I’ve been busy working on my bathroom closet today (aren’t I supposed to be exhausted at this point in the pregnancy?), but it’s definitely not ready for photos yet. So I took a couple of shots of my desk’s corner in the family room. I realized the other day that I haven’t shown any updated photos of this room in a long time. At the moment, most of it isn’t looking terrific, as all the junk that’s usually in my bathroom and its closet are scattered around in the family room.
But my desk is mostly okay! I took down the framed art from this wall and rearranged it all when I brought up more stuff from the Minneapolis house — I love how it looks. My favorite thing might be the old mirror-front cabinet that I got for $15 last year (at one of the many thrift stores / flea markets around here).
The wood tones are kind of all over the place, since most of this is furniture that was in various rooms in Minneapolis. I wasn’t sure where I was going to fit my tall bookcases, but I think they look nice like this, with the electric ‘wood’stove and that narrow poster in between.
That’s all! ‘Real’ work on my bathroom reno starts Monday morning (although all the work I’ve been doing before the pros get here feels pretty real, too), and I’m really excited. The little hex tiles for the floor arrived yesterday, and they’re so smooth and lovely — I can’t wait to see them in place!
