Plants and Pets

My tomatoes moved up to their first big-kid pots. The dirt is shallow for now because, as the plants grow taller, I can add more soil. It will support the plants, and tomatoes are able to put out more roots along their stems, so they’ll be stronger. I need to get more pots for the cucumbers, whose roots are going crazy. I had to carefully separate them today (the roots were starting to grow together), and it’s incredible how the plants already smell like cucumbers!

Henny and Nova were lying in the sun together, so I wanted to take a photo, but as soon as the camera came out, Beany was all, ‘Heeeere I am!’ She’s such a ham. That made Henny nervous, so she moved away, and then Nova got up to see what all the fuss was about. But as you can see, she was brought down by the power of the sun. Oh, pets.

Beany looks like, she living the good life. Reminds me of a meme (a turtle upside down saying I am flying:)
