Nope, no more snow (of significance) for us — this is from earlier in December, when Minneapolis got over a foot of snow. For some reason, I just haven’t been taking photos every day (in my defense, today I was busy having fun with Julie, who paid us a very lovely visit this weekend!), so I wind up looking for past shots that I never used on twelve22. You have to have something to look at besides words!
I decided to cobble together some of Clean Eating Magazine‘s meal plans to create one that was vegetarian. You lose some of the benefits that way — no nutritional counts, and their shopping lists no longer work — but it’s still a nice thing to do just to work in more new meals. I think I’ve been doing a fairly good job of eating whole-food sources of protein instead of relying on fake-meat products, and there are even more combinations/meals that might not have thought of on my own. So, you know, something new.
I’ve decided that New Year’s Eve should really be a holiday, so I’ll squeeze in a little work, but I think I might just do some yoga, read a bunch of books, and generally enjoy myself. And I definitely won’t go outside, because we’re supposed to have a high of 5F tomorrow. What are your NYE / New Year’s plans?

New Year’s Eve is dinner out with some friends…I think there are 4 couples this year. Then back to one of our houses for games and dessert and ringing in the New Year. Sleep in the New Year with the family and then reading and knitting sounds like a winner. I have a fireplace that needs to be enjoyed…Maybe soup in the crockpot… just kicking back because it goes back to crazy the next day!!
Alcohol and bad infomercials! Some traditions never go out of style
I like the sounds of your plans, my plans are staying in, a book just waiting to be opened saved just for New Years eve day, a pot of chili and bread I will make i the morning, quiet day, quiet evening, the water is still not frozen out front so we will watch the last of this winters ships go through the Locks to enter Lake Superior, a lot of the ships are decorated with christmas lights and they look amazing drifting by our balcony, Happy New Year to you,
