Seasonal Confusion

Yesterday, I hung icicle lights on the deck. Today, I carved a pumpkin. Out in the country, you can do whatever you want. It seemed only right to carve a pumpkin — and I like how the smell of pumpkin guts takes me back to being a kid. But I’m really excited about decorating for the winter holidays. I think it was November 9th that I started decorating last year, and I plan on starting that early again this year. If it didn’t mean cold weather, I would be hoping for snow. Not because I like having to deal with it, but because this place is going to look like a freaking winter wonderland!
