Hipstamatic Life

Rob and I welcomed our friend Em and her little boy to the Hinckley house this past week, hence my total lack of blogging. It should have been a perfect opportunity to try some new recipes, but, except for making soup out of the aging pile of garden tomatoes on my counter, I did very little cooking. Oh well. (I did make a batch of the Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Walnut cookies from the Veganomicon, and they are unbelievably delicious!)

As fun as it was to have visitors and show them around, it’s a relief to have the house emptier again — that’s the thing about being an introvert. Rob and I are basically hermits who happen to share a house from time to time. Well, hermits who still go into town and do things with other people. Not really hermits at all, but you know…

The photos: 1. I made a small cheesecake last week. Cheesecakes are good. 2. Another beautiful day in Duluth (ie, it only rained for part of the time we were there). 3. At the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. 4. Birdy, looking particular serious and clever (for her).
