Homegrown

Okay, the gyoza aren’t homegrown at all — they were frozen, from a bag. But I had some bread and butter pickles on the side that I DID grow and make myself. I wound up with a random cucumber plant this spring, and as of a few days ago, there were just enough cukes to make a batch of these. They’re very good!

And then, when I came back to Minneapolis, I decided to try digging up my red potato hills. I really neglected those plants, but it doesn’t seem to have hurt! I didn’t get a huge number of potatoes (three per hill), but they’re much bigger than I was expecting. I’ve still got five hills of Yukon Golds that I haven’t dug up, but I think the above will be enough to keep me going for a little while!
