Look at these! Don't you wish you were at my house?

Peanut Butter Banana cake with drizzled ganache. I told (warned?) S last night that the peanut butter banana bug had got into my brain, and I wasn't going to be able to rest until I came up with a recipe for these. It's a recipe I want to share, I promise, but I need a volunteer or two to test it before I make it 'official'. I wound up throwing in about a quarter cup of almond/soy milk at the end, along with a few tablespoons of applesauce, so I can't swear by my measurements until somebody else gives it a try. It's a vegan recipe, assuming you can find vegan chocolate and peanut butter chips.
How much do these cakey squares wish they were being sold in a coffee shop? I trimmed off the edges before I cut the cake into pieces (aesthetics! It's all about the aesthetics!), and I nibbled one of the cuttings to taste the cake -- one thing led to another, and soon I'd scarfed down all the trimmings (dipped in ganache, of course). Oh dear.
Here's some nice steamed spinach and mashed squash to try to balance things out:

Urg. I don't think it's working.
Oh goodness! Looks like I missed out on the good treats once I left MN! The cake looks so tasty and I do hope you share the recipe.

Imagine my delight when I returned home after a hard day of marketing and communicating to find that the Dessert Fairy left me two perfect pieces of Peanut Butter Banana cake on my kitchen counter. I ate one immediately and especially enjoyed the chunky peanuts within. What a shame .d is in Puerto Rico for a week. I am SURE the 'other' piece won't keep fresh that long. What's a person to do? Hum.

Ooo, excellent drizzling action! I would happily test the recipe if I didn't feel that bananas come from the Devil Tree. Peanut butter is made by angels though, as if you didn't know! Cx

Let me see, bananas, devil tree. Tick. Peanut butter, lovely angels. Tick. Why yes I find myself in total agreement with Cara. It still looks delicious, though.

Yum! Mostly though I wish we had peanut butter chips here, if we did I'd happily volunteer to test out the recipe, sigh.
