Quilts and Cats

Lah-tee-tah, folding up my laundry. Hmm, wonder where Booty is. . .

Oh well, guess he’s in another room.
I’ve been having trouble deciding what exactly to do with the quilt squares I got the other day. It’s much harder than starting from scratch, especially because I can’t just run out and buy more fabric if I mess these up! I’ve finished the center checker panel for now.

White cotton in a quilt always looks so. . . blah when it’s pieced but not quilted. Blurg. Melph. But then you quilt it and it looks fabulous! I put all my favourite blocks in one corner. Usually my strategy is to spread out the best prints, so there’s a little bit everywhere you look. But as I was folding a quilt the other day, I was wishing I could somehow show off this block, and that one, and that one too, and they were all on opposite corners. So I shun my previous strategy in favour of a quilty popular corner!

It seems like everyone is quilting lately! I just love how you’re using the fabric… Looking forward to seeing what the finished whole looks like! :)

It’s always a mystery to me how people can get cats and dogs to stay together and not fight! Cats do look more adorable buried under laundry than dogs, and they feel much more at home too–my dogs would try to shake off all the laundry!

Your cat is so cuteeee. It took me a while to spot Booty. I dont think toby my cat would have liked that. she is a little bit cranky.

I like the idea of the favorite corner–then you can always strategically display that corner, by snuggling up with that corner right under your chin, or on the most noticeable corner of the bed…Sounds like a plan!

Booty!?! My grandparents had twin cats named Booty & Beany (and they were B/W, too). I was so happy to see another lovely cat named Booty!!!!
    Just beautiful :)
