My pal Mo is always doing the 12 of 12, and I'd like to do it regularly, if only for her, but I never remember. Add to this guilt the fact that I recently told one of my authors how boring a photo diary of my workday would be (computer screen, computer screen, electric kettle, computer screen), and you can understand why I've had the whole 'Day in the Life' idea going through my head. So here it is:

The rest is behind the cut.
7:00 -- Oatmeal and blackberries for breakfast. With maple syrup and milk! I never used to like oatmeal, but it's been just the thing lately. I actually woke up much earlier than this, but I spent a couple of hours in bed, reading submissions. What a hard life.

7:10 -- Still eating my breakfast while Minnie torments Booty. Bap!

8:30 -- Ooh, first tea break! I made 'no knead' bread this weekend, and it's pretty good, but the next loaf'll be better.

9:00 -- Taking a break from work to give Minnie a pat. Well, I think it started as a break to windmill my arms (sitting at a desk is no good for my shoulders, especially if I've spent an hour shoveling snow the day before), but that attracted Minnie's attention, for some reason.

9:30 -- Speaking of my desk, here it is. I still haven't stained it -- maybe when it's warm out again. I had to finish off a cover for another publisher (through SB), and I started just after seven and finished around eleven. Photoshop is like a time vacuum.

10:30 -- Snack time!

11:30 -- I knocked off work a bit early, since I put in some time over the weekend. Minnie's waiting for her walk. She always knows when I'm getting ready to take her out (as opposed to getting ready for just me to go out). Dogs might be stupid in a lot of ways, but they know about walks. We headed out to see if they'd plowed the parkway path. They had -- hooray!

12:30 -- Preparing lunch. You can see what I had here. I put everything I ate today into a calculator thingie, and I had 106% of my RDA of iron. Way to go, green veggies!

1:30 -- Getting ready to go to the post office. Getting out of the alley was a close call. Thank goodness for front wheel drive, is all I've got to say.

2:30 -- I've been neglecting my nice antique quilt squares. I bought some solid cotton this weekend, though, and now I'm ready to start again.

3:30 -- Tea break! This was actually my third. . . or fourth?. . . cup of tea of the day. I left the door open so you could see the hot drinks cupboard. Tea, coffee, sugar, more tea. Both PG Tips and Twinings English Breakfast. Because there is a difference (not that I'm claiming I could really tell the difference in a blind taste test), and sometimes you need to change things up a bit.

5:45 -- Protein-y! Almost as good as a proper EBCB, I had a fried egg, beans, two veggie sausages, and a piece of toast for my dinner.

6:00 -- Finishing the washing up. And that's all the further I'm going to report on my day today. Food, pets, food, pets, work, work, food. Sometimes I leave the house, but you wouldn't really notice.
sounds like a good day to me. :*) I envy you for working from home.

WOW - what a great idea. I love seeing what other people get up to! It must be great working at home although whether or not I would be able to motivate myself is another thing. You must be very strict with yourself. Love all your food updates aswell, just off for a PG tips myself. Have fun! x
