This is what I see when I look to my left:

Can it get any cuter than a cat curled up on a cushion on top of a (fake) wood-burning stove? I think not.
Lest you think he's always a peaceful little angel, here's what he looked like a few moments before. That's not annoyance in his eyes, just naughtiness. Ten minutes ago, he was tearing through the house, trying to get me to play with him. The offer of a soft cushion on a warm surface changed his tune.
(The cushion, by the way, was $5 at that Pier 1 outlet. !)

So cute and what a deal! I need a five dollar cushion to settle down one of our kittens. Last night he took a fist sized chunk out of a sealed dog treat log and this morning he jumped up on top of the fridge and started ripping at a a loaf of bread! I guess he is making a sandwich!
Well, off to find a cushion and put on the fire!! Thanks for the idea!
Oh also thank you SOOO much for signing my book. I was so so so pleased when it got here. It is lovely. You should be soooo very proud! Congratulations! Hugs!
It makes you wish you were a cat, doesn't it? That has to be my precise vision of heaven.
i tried your zipper tutorial today, but my pouch didn't turn out too great (i'm a beginner). i'm wondering how big to cut the material. do you want it to be as wide as your zipper?
Oh Mr Mischief!
I have a similar view of my cat. I have to admit to liking the fact that she sits there all day long, sleeping while I work.
I really enjoyed the post of your desk over at Snowblog. First time I have ever lusted after a mouse mat I do believe.
That picture is great! My cat seems to be stuck on sleeping on my computer desk when I'm working here. Occasionally his paw slips and he adds in a number or letter. Yesterday though he hit the shut down key and it was in the middle of my typing a lesson plan. Small freak out when it suddenly disappeared!
I do love when his warm paw reaches out to gently touch my hand that is busy typing. Kind of irresistible so he gets to stay and keep me company.
I have the same 'faux fireplace' in my living room!!! LOVE IT! No more dirty wood and ashes and stupid matches that won't light...just flip a switch and voila! "I have made fire!"
Hi Anna! I would like to introduce myself: hello, my name is kim and i'm addicted to blogging. I also am in love with your new book The Crafter's Companion and I wanted to thank you for all your hard(fun?) work in putting it together. It is lovely and has some of my favorite bloggers featurd in it. I have posted about it on my blog and I have created(if you don't mind) a Flickr Group where people that own the book can post pictures of their creations. I am going to start with the first project and work my way through the book. I don't know if you have a Flickr account or if you would like to Admin (hostess) the Group or if you mind at all? So give me a glance if you have time-thank you from the bottom of my ever-lovin-crafty-heart! Kim
