Look at this trim:

I think we can all agree that that's the Best Trim Ever, yes? Totally worth it, even at (eep) £10.50 per metre. So fantastic. I would also like to inform you that fabric for a new bag has been bought, and new bag creation will commence shortly. I do so like the Big Green Bag, but if I don't switch from carrying things over-the-shoulder to messenger style, the knots in my right shoulder will actually work themselves free of my body (which would not be good). You can't see the bag yet, since it exists only in my head, but I think it's going to be a good one!

More books!:

I got these from YesAsia.com, which seems alright. I originally ordered three, but they supposedly couldn't source a supplier for the third, so I cancelled it so they would ship the other two. And since they only seem to refund in store credit (which Rob thinks is very dodgy), I've ordered a couple more books to be delivered some time in the future.

These are decor-based rather than craft, but the top one has lots of instructions for projects, including these wire baskets. Also loving tiny bottles with stems. The other book is full of interesting photos and some recipes (which I obviously can't follow) and other nice things. These sugar cubes melt away and leave the little moon shape floating in your tea/coffee. What do you suppose the moon shape is made off? I'm also strangely attracted to the idea of packing sandwiches in wax paper packets. Is wax paper biodegradable? Better than a plastic bag; not so good as a reusable container, I should think. But cute.

I love how crafty and hands on you are...I see things and think, "Wow that would be a great project! I could do that and it would turn out so great!"

And I'll by all of the supplies and how-to books...all of the equipment, and I'll even schedule a day to complete my project...and then something calls me away...like A&E will choose THAT DAY to show Pride and Prejudice (and like I could actually choose not to watch it, even though I own the DVDs) and then, inevitably, there is the wafting scent of baking Chex Mix and the day is spent.

Way to go on the follow-through!

oh wow - I love that trim. Where did you get it from?

Can't wait to see the new bag - and messenger style is definitely the way to go.

Beautiful trim what will you do with it?

That trim would look great along the edge of a kitchen shelf or something. Maybe the moon in the sugar cubes are lemon peel or something? Hmmm.

You have such a good eye for these things! I *adore* the trim! Wherever did you find it? Not that I can afford it at that price, but I definitely think it's worth it! Can't wait to see the finished bag!

You have inspired me with the wire baskets!!! I like those very much and do have a couple of spools of different colored wire (or I should say my partner does in his fly tying kit so I'll raid that!)yay! thank you for the ideas and all of the gorgeous things you post online. It is always a pleasure to look at your posts.

Now you have me wondering about those sugar cubes. Is there a caption under the photo? If you'd care to post the page maybe I can see if it says anything about the mystery moon in the cube.

Fantastic trim! Adorable projects! And yes, wax paper is biodegradable - I found Reynolds brand wax bags in my local store but not in any large chain stores.

When I was growing up we always had our sandwiches in waxed paper, all folded so nice, and later we had waxed paper bags. I love the look of it. But it doesn't keep your sandwich as nice as a resealable container.

if you want I can find you some similar trim, as it is often seen at the antique markets here in france, the only difference being it has different patterns and is old.
