Kew Gardens

I’ve been in Leigh on Sea the past couple of days, but my mom and I went to Kew before heading out east. Surprisingly, I had never been to Kew before this past week (perhaps it’s less surprising when you consider how infrequently I travel into the W/SW postcodes). I thought there would be more flowers in bloom in the green houses (there weren’t many), but the greenery was still very welcome, considering this has been the coldest March in, what — twenty years?

hi anna, what kind of camera do you have? your pics are always so fantastic (i know that is because you are a talented photographer.. but every little bit will help) :)
Received my ‘little birds’ card in the post, thanks SO much, i’m in love with it! so cute, and the wrapping was gorgeous… i didn’t want to open it! :)

Shinyruby — I use a Nikon D70, which I really love. Two of the above photos were taken with my standard 28-90mm lens, and two were taken with my macro lens (which is great as long as there’s enough light).

  6. Lovely photos – thanks for sharing. The lily pads are particularly lovely. It feels like forever since we’ve seen anything GREEN here – drought and water restrictions make for a yellow and brown landscape in my part of the world.

Gosh, Anna, you are a fantastic photographer! I swear I can’t take a single shot without a tripod anymore. You must not drink caffeine, then? :-)
